Where my passion to share my knowledge was born…

Besides the basic photographic training courses listed below, I can boast an experience of education-based seminars, workshops and training sessions that more than show my passion. I was invited to speak and present my work in Koln at the 2018 Photokina on behalf of Olympus as a wildlife photographic visionary. In South Africa, at the prestigious Photo & Film Expo, I was a regular speaker and educator. I have conducted workshops with the legendary photographer, Michael Poliza, in the Okavango Delta training safari guides on Olympus equipment.

My passion for teaching, tutoring and experiencing the joy of learning light with new photographers has always been one of my major pleasures in life.

Here are 2 videos I was lucky enough to be part of with the Olympus/Wilderness Safaris collaboration.:

Join our Olympus Visionaries Warren Fleming and Michael Poliza on their trip to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Discover the beauty of wildlife photography and the advantages of the Olympus system.

Wilderness Safaris and Olympus have joined forces to use their high-end services and combined passion for wildlife photography to ensure the ongoing conservation of Africa’s remote wilderness areas whilst contributing to the empowerment of local people through conservation education.

I currently offer the following photographic courses, in which each is tailor-made to suit the individual student.

1 Day Course

With this option the student is given the full theoretical photographic introduction, learning how the camera works, how best to operate it and get the most out of photography.

This is done in the comfort of your own home, on a digital platform that is given for the student to keep. From this one can get a full understanding of the fundamentals of photography.

I normally start at 8 am and we finish mid-afternoon.

2 Day Course

The first day of the course is the same as the 1-day option, with the second day being a practical approach where we go to various locations to practice the skills learnt and get more creative and learn a lot more about composition and the practical implementation of photography.

8 am to mid-afternoon on day 1 and the second day is often started a lot earlier, all dependant on the style of photography that the student wants to learn, for example, some people love shooting sunrises and sunsets, so we can either start very early or later and end very late in the day.

Price R2200.00

As mentioned we do have cameras available for the student to use during the photographic training.

Further from this more in-depth lessons can be provided that are more genre-specific and involve a much higher level of knowledge.

Photoshop Course

This is a digitally based course where the student can learn the correct way in which to process and develop digital files. The learner will have to procure Adobe Photoshop at a later stage but a 30-day trial can be provided for the purposes of learning. Adobe CC Photographic plan is my recommendation and costs $11.49 per month.

The course is given over a 2 lesson period, the first is a 3-hour lesson with a follow-up lesson of 2 hours a few days or a week later, as the student will have to practice in this period.

Cost R1500.00

Both I and my father have been providing photographic training for over 8 years and have experience with all levels of aptitude and creative expression when it comes to the students we teach.
